Group Procurement Manager

Procurement Lead – Peterborough – £40,000 to £50,000 DOE\n\nACR are working with a forward-thinking and ambitious education organisation committed to delivering outstanding learning opportunities and exceptional value across all areas of the business. This Procurement Lead position offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping procurement strategy, driving commercial efficiencies and building strong supplier partnerships within a dynamic environment. Working closely with senior stakeholders, the Procurement Lead will support strategic decision-making, lead tendering activities and ensure procurement practices deliver innovation, compliance and long-term value.\n\nProcurement Lead's Key Responsibilities:\n\n• Develop and implement procurement strategies that deliver cost savings, value for money, and compliance with procurement regulations\n\n• Lead end-to-end tendering exercises including supplier selection, tender evaluation, contract negotiation, and contract award\n\n• Manage procurement categories through detailed spend analysis, supplier management, and sourcing strategy development\n\n• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to support operational and strategic procurement objectives\n\n• Oversee supplier performance, contract management, and risk mitigation while promoting sustainable and socially responsible procurement practices\n\nSkills & Experience Required as a Procurement Lead:\n\n• Previous experience in a Senior Procurement role within a regulated environment\n\n• Strong understanding of procurement legislation, tendering processes, contract management and supplier relationship management\n\n• Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, communication, and organisational skills\n\n• CIPS qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous\n\n• Proficient in Microsoft Office systems with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously\n\nBenefits Package:\n\n• Salary of £40,000 to £50,000 depending on experience\n\n• Generous holiday allowance plus bank holidays\n\n• Pension scheme\n\n• Ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities\n\n• Free onsite parking and access to employee well being initiatives\n\nIf this Procurement Lead role sounds like a position that would match your skills and experience, we would love to hear from you and look forward to discussing your application in more detail.\n\nAnne Corder Recruitment Ltd acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and as an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
