Pre-Press Operator / Print Support\nLocation: Castleford\nSalary: DOE\nCompany: A large packaging and labels client.\nRole: An excellent opportunity has arisen for a pre-press operator to join a leading organisation.\nYou will be responsible for assisting full job strip out. Full line support in the assistance in changing the press over. Ensure all lines are prepared in all aspects to assist in achieving daily/weekly plan.\n * Quality checking regularly to ensure product meets required standards, dealing with any problems\n * Check inks and varnish numbers, get ready for job\n * Demount, file and clean plates and cylinders\n * Manufacture printing plates and screens in line with APS requirements\n * Reclamation of silk-screens for re-use across the business\n * Monitor consumable stocks.\n * Allocate plates and screens to relevant departments in line with APS requirements.\n * Ensure all machinery is cleaned and maintained in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications.\n * Remove all bespoke items from press.\n * Configuration change.\n * Load shafts & mag base, cylinders into press and removal after use.\n * Foiling unit into press.\n * Clean all trolleys (wash-up) daily.\n * Support the Wash & Build and Plate Bending / Mounting area\nRequirements:\n * Experience working within a packaging and/or self-adhesive labels manufacturer - preferable but not essential.\n * Experience within print assistant / press support operative.\n * Experience of a similar role within a fast-moving label printer / FMCG environment.\n * Good organisational and time management skills with a flexible attitude & a team player.\n * Ability to stay calm under pressure and have good problem-solving skills working to a high standard.\n * Will consider all print backgrounds.\n * Team player.\n * Strong communication skills.\nApply:\nPlease email your full CV details to us.
